Description

Folios 63-64. Petition for mercy from George Abernethie, or Abernethy, formerly a magistrate of Banff [Banffshire], then a company commander with the [Jacobite] rebels, now prisoner in New Gaol Southwark [Surrey], stating that he was seized by the rebels in revenge for supporting the King by assisting Captain Rogers and Sir John Cope.
