'Mr Meadowcourts Charge'. Richard Meadowcourt to [?unknown] claiming that Mr Wharton's [Warton] 'late sermon' was designed to 'blacken' the reign of King George I. Meadowcroft goes on to compare the 'actions and circumstances of the present Reign' as 'parallel to what happen'd under the Usurpation of Cromwell'. Further accuses him of maintaining several positions within both church and state.
