Description

Envelope, unmarked, containing one cutting, one postcard, three photographs and one envelope:

1) Cutting, unidentified, undated publication [c 1930], monochrome photographic illustration, side view, '0-6-0 Side Tank [Locomotive] No 86 WD [War Department], Military Camp [Railway], Catterick, by the Hunslet Engine [Company]'.

2) Postcard, 9cm x 14cm, monochrome photographic image, side three-quarter view, 0-6-0 Tank locomotive No 4, typed note on reverse, 'Swansea [and] Mumbles Railway, No 4, Hunslet [Works No] 697 of 1899', 'F Moore's Railway Photographs', negative No 6790, [image c 1920].

3) 8cm x 13cm, side three-quarter view, 0-6-0 Saddle Tank locomotive 'Lenn', typed note on reverse 'Danesmoor, Clay Cross [to] Alfreton, HE [Hunslet Engine Company No] 549 [of] [1891]', stamped 'Mr Frank D Smith, Bolton', [image c 1905].

4) 8cm x 13cm, side view, 0-4-0 Saddle Tank 'Annie', with group of workmen in front, manuscript note on reverse 'MSLR [Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway] / GCR [Great Central Railway] Barby Lane, Charwelton [on the] Woodford [to] Rugby No 4 [Section] [December 1894 to January 1898], HE [Hunslet Engine Company No] 17 [of] [1866]', stamped 'Mr Frank D Smith, Bolton'.

5) 9cm x 14cm, side three-quarter view, 0-6-0 Saddle Tank 'Bee' minus coupling rods in line of other locomotives, with builders plate Hunslet Engine [Company] [Works No] 335 [of] 1880, negative No 2865, [image c 1930].

6) Envelope, typed 'Hunslet Engine [Company], Leeds, 201 of 1878', containing film negative [print at item 37], [c 1952].
