Description

Prisoner name: Dennis Crawley.

Prisoner age: 42 years.

Court and date of trial: Old Bailey, July 1836.

Crime: Stabbing with intent.

Initial sentence: 'Insane'.

Annotated (Outcome): Warrant prepared for removal to Hoxton House Lunatic Asylum and Maintenance 9 July 1836. Warrants for removal to Middlesex County Lunatic Asylum 3 February 1840. 'Better take more time' 24 April 1841. Discharge 17 March 1842.

Papers: List of Criminal Lunatics in the Gaol at Newgate. Letter from John Adam.
