Description

Captured vessel: St Anthony de Bayon (master Peter Bargeir). History: a Portuguese built vessel fo 30 tons, laden at Teneriffe with 76 bags of sacks of tobacco snuff, 11 tons and one packet of bonelace containing 100 pieces, bound for Bayon. Seized for the Lord High Admiral's use by the Prince Pacquet boat (master John Clenhall) and ransomed for 2,500 pieces of eight . Court papers: two examinations in duplicate
