Description

Three typed letters to Mr G Alliez (Librarian, Stephenson Locomotive Society):

1) From The Brush Electric Engineering [Company Limited], 25 March 1937, acknowledgement of enquiry on locomotives built by Henry Hughes.

2) From The Brush Electric Engineering [Company Limited], 2 April 1937, confirming that 'all documents, etc, relating to Locomotives built by this Company and its predecessors have been destroyed' [it is not clear whether this just refers to Henry Hughes or also Falcon Engineering Company].

3) From Nasmyth, Wilson [and Company] Limited, 11 November 1940, refusing request for information on locomotives built at Bridgewater Foundry.

4) Typed note giving G Alliez details, as donor of above, dated 11 [September] 1961.
