Envelope, typed 'Mr T R Perkins', with typed note by W E H [Wilfrid Edwin Hayward], dated 12 [December] 1952, and cutting attached to reverse, typed 'Stephenson 'Journal' [December] 1952', with notice of the death of Mr Perkins, envelope contains:
1) Cutting, unidentified, undated publication [c January 1953], obituary of Thomas Richard Perkins, 1872 [to] 1952.
2) Postcard, 9cm x 14cm, monochrome photographic image, with manuscript note on reverse, '2-2-2 tank engine 'Gazelle', Shropshire and Montgomeryshire [Railway], in Kinnerley shed, 19 May 1911, G M Perkins on footplate', stamped T R Perkins.
Three manuscript letters from T R Perkins to W E Hayward:
3) Dated '[8 January 1943], concerning Antofagasta and Boliva Railway, and Listowel and Ballybunion Railway.
4) Dated '[6 January 1943]', concerning purchase of tickets from Listowel and Ballybunion Railway and Newcastle and Carlisle Railway.
5) Dated '[1 April 1952]', concerning his and his wife's illnesses, locomotives at Stafford station, including LMSR [London Midland and Scottish Railway] diesel 1000, the Knighton railway line, and Stephenson Locomotive Society matters.
