Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): The prisoner has maintained an irreproachable character; he has a wife and two young children, all in delicate health, to support; his own health is poor; the evidence of the principal witness for the prosecution was questionable; the prisoner has conducted himself well in Millbank penitentiary; his elder child has died during his imprisonment.

Letter from John Hewitt, chemist and druggist, Well Street, Cable Street, the prisoner's landlord, offering security for his future good conduct. Police report from Superintendent of H or Whitechapel Division, stating that the prisoner had an irreproachable character and that those who informed against him did so out of jealousy.
Additional Information: Prisoner originally a linen draper, but business failed. Lived in Cable Street, Well Close Square, St George, Middlesex. Held in Newgate gaol then ordered to Leviathan hulk.
