Captured ship: De Vrouw Gertruyda of Amsterdam (master Douwe Hendriksz) formerly De Compas.
History: a Dutch ship (50 lasts, 5 men and a boy), bound from Oleron to Dunkirk, laden with brandy; taken on 11/22 March 1747 off Gravelines by the privateer Fortune (Gilbert Chain commanding), and brought into Dover.
