Captured ship: Restauration of London (master Edward Randolph).
History: an English ship (300 tons, 8-10 guns, 23 men), bound from Virginia to London, laden with tobacco; taken by a French privateer, retaken on 5/16 May 1744 off the Lizard by HMS Dreadnought (Edward Boscawen commanding), and brought first into Plymouth, and then into London.
