Captured ship: Prince Charles (master George Powell, and as a French prize, Pierre Labarthe).
History: an English merchant ship (150 tons, 4 guns, 12 men, formerly L'Aimable Renote), bound from St Kitts to London, laden with sugar and rum; taken on 3/14 March 1745 in latitude 50°N by the French privateer L'Entreprenant (François Graciet commanding) but retaken on 8/19 March by the privateer Prince Charles (Charles Gwynn commanding) and brought into Bristol.
