Captured ship: Les Deux Soeurs of Nantes (master Tobie Clarke).
History: a French merchant ship (180 tons, 12 guns, 21 men), bound from Saint-Domingue to Nantes, laden with sugar, indigo and hides; taken on 26 June/7 July 1747 15 leagues SW of Belle Isle by HMS Lyon (Arthur Scott commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
