Envelope mounted on card divider item 64 with typed caption on front, '0-6-0 Early Pattern' containing fourteen photographic images of in most cases Stockton and Darlington Railway steam locomotives:
1) Monochrome photograph with typed caption on reverse, 'Stockton and Darlington Railway 0-6-0 as NER [North Eastern Railway] No 1145' [No 25 'Derwent' designed by Timothy Hackworth built by W and A Kitching not No 1145 as identified on the caption photographed at the Railway Centenary Procession Darlington County Durham 2 July 1925], 7cm x 10cm, see also sub-items 12, 13, 14.
2) Monochrome postcard with printed notes on reverse giving brief details of Hackworth 0-6-0 mineral locomotive Stockton and Darlington Railway No 23 'Wilberforce' [outside Shildon roundhouse], published by Locomotive Publishing Company [image c.1860-1865], 9cm x 14cm, see also item 66/2.
3) Monochrome photograph with manuscript notes on reverse, 'No 3? 'Buddle' 0-6-0 locomotive built at Shildon 1833 by Timothy Hackworth withdrawn from service 1876 converted into snowplough and still works that job [at South Hetton Colliery]' and further notes and technical details about similar locomotives, [later investigations during conservation point to this locomotive being named 'Braddyll' or 'Nelson' and being built or rebuilt later than 1833 possibly by Fossick and Hackworth][image c.1935], 9cm x 14cm.
