The British Council has not been represented in Moldova but the option has been proposed several times since 1992, with the British Council Representative in Romania had responsibility for coordinating any activities in Moldova. Previously the British Council coordinated activities in the member states of the USSR via the Soviet Relations Committee. The records can be found in series BW 2.
