Service: Army, Gordon Highlanders.

Attempted escapes: Oflag VIIC (Salzburg) Sep 1940 and Jan 1941; Stalag XXIB (Posen) Jun 1941; four attempts from Oflag IVC (Colditz): did not succeed in getting out of the camp.
