Two versions of the diaries are held by the Cabinet Office. One is a set of typescript diaries (it is not known when they were typed) and the other are original manuscript versions, which it is assumed were kept by the No 10 Diary Secretary. There are a complete set of typescript diaries for 1979-1990 and manuscript diaries for 1980-1983 and 1987-1990.
