Captured ship: Spitwell (commander Pierre Louis Danielo).
History: a French or Spanish privateer (cutter, 35 tons, 2 guns, 6 swivels, 19 men, previously an English ship ,taken by the French), now bound from Brest on a cruise; taken on 21 February 1782 about 6 leagues from the Lizard and 2 leagues from the Isles of Scilly by the privateer Vulture (Philip Hamon commanding), and brought into Jersey.
Court papers: 1-14; Ship's papers: 15-18.
