Captured ship: Sacre Coeur de Jesus (master Philipe Peironnet).
History: a French merchant ship (polacre, 200/150 tons; 4 guns, 17 men), bound from Toulon to Boston, laden with wine, brandy and soap, and other dry goods; taken on 7 September 1779 in latitude 40°N, longitude 58°30'W by the privateers Sisters (William Webster commanding), and Mersey (William Gibbons commanding), and brought into Liverpool.
Court papers: 1-25; Ship's papers: 26-34.
