High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: Le Saint Esprit (master Germain Sally).
History: a French merchant ship (50 tons, 4 men), bound from Isigny to Rouen, laden with rape oils, brandy, glass, earthenware and other goods; taken on 4 September 1782 on the coast of Normandy by the privateer Willing Mind (Henry Wilkins commanding), and brought into Jersey.
Court papers: 1-3; Ship's papers: 4-33. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
