By an act, dated 5th August 1928, undertaking of Grand Junction Canal Company was transferred to Regent's Canal and Dock Company and name of latter changed to "Grand Union Canal Company" as and from 1st January 1929. Grand Union Canal Company was vested in British Transport Commission by Transport Act of 1947.
