Folios 146-147: William Pierrepont, HMS Naiad, Long Reach. Reports that both Pilots and Yachtsmen are landed from HMS Naiad upon anchorage at Long Reach. States that he observed the HMS Lancaster's crew have mutinied and taken possession of the ship. Observes that a boat from HMS Sandwich went within sail of her on 26 May 1797 and gave 3 cheers, which were immediately returned by Captain John Well's people. The boat then pulled to and took possession of a gun boat, which they ran downwards and got her onshore at the lowest part of the beach, where she now lies deserted, high and dry.
