Folios 363-364: Edward William Campbell Rich Owen, HMS Clyde, the Downs. Acknowledges the letter and copy of the order allowing the Carpenter of HMS Clyde to be paid the 3 shillings per day for the supervision of caulking the vessels.The Captain regrets that the supervison of the repairs is not to be paid, although the Carpenter of the Edgar was not available. The Captain recalls at length the circumstances at which local Artifficiers and the Carpenter of the Clyde were used to the advantage of the service and with the concurrence of Admiral Holloway under order from the Commander in Chief
