Description

Folios 91-92: Donald McCleod, Regulating Officer, Liverpool. He reports on the cases of Michael Morrison, John Shelding, Thomas Corlett and Peter Hyledger.

Folios 93-94: enclosed with folios 91-92. Letter dated 7 October 1813 by Henry Brawn, Liverpool. Writes on behalf of Peter Hyledger who he says is one of his Apprentices. He asks that he is discharged.

Folios 95-96: enclosed with folios 91-92. Letter dated 9 October 1813 by S. Cock, London. He has been instructed by Samuel Brown and encloses the Indentures for Michael Morrison' Apprentice, to Edward Wilson, Master, the Mary. He asks for his discharge.

Folios 97-98: enclosed with folios 91-92. Affidavit and Indenture relating to Michael Morrison. Edward Wilson, Master, the Mary, swears that Michael Morrison is his Apprentice. Indenture paper, 22 December 1812, binding Michael Morrison as an Apprentice to Edward Wilson, Master, the Mary.

Folios 99-100: enclosed with folios 91-92. Letter dated 9 Octobe 1813 by Jane Shelding, Whitehaven. She asks for the discharge of her son, John Shelding, who was impressed at Liverpool. She says that he is a Master in the Whitehaven Merchant Service and was in Liverpool on business. She is dependant on him as her husband John Shelding, Purser, HMS Arrogant, died while in service.

Folios 101-103: enclosed with folios 91-92. Letter dated 11 October 1813 by William Gaitskill, Liverpool. He calls for the discharge of Thomas Corlett who he says is his Apprentice. He encloses his Indenture.
