Folios 361-362: Thomas Byam Martin, Plymouth. Advises that no person has been recommended for promotion from HMS Implacable because the 2 best candidates, Frederick Ormond and Edward Luscombe have only now passed the usual examination to qualify as Lieutenants.
Folios 363-364: enclosed with folios 361-362. Letter dated 1 November 1810 by Vice Admiral of the Red Sir James Saumarez and Samuel Champion to Francis Ormond. Directs that Francis Ormond, Masters Mate, HMS Victory' is appointed to act as Lieutenant of HMS Alexandria.
