Folios 86-87: James Macnamara, 39 Parliament Street. Encloses letter which explain why requesting further leave of absence. Should the Berwick get manned before the expiration of his leave, whatever the state of his health it is his intention to join.
Folios 88-89: enclosure with folios 86-87. Letter from John Doratt, Bruton Street to Admiralty dated 19 July 1810. States that Captain Macnamara is still extremely unwell with acute rheumatism. Moving from London would increase the disease and perhaps make it permanent. Trust the period of seven days or a fortnight with present use of tepid baths will afford much amendments.
