Description

Folios 305-306: Thomas Lavie, Chatham. Encloses list of the Sea Fencibles with the names of men stationed a float. Advises that the men enrolled at Maidstone are to march to Chatham when he receives notice of the approach of the enemy and if not wanted to fill places of men that may be absent they will repair on board specified ships to protect the dockyard.

Folios 307-308: enclosed with folios 305-306. List of Gillingham Sea Fencibles and 2 Gillingham launch crews dated 11 November 1803 by Thomas Sherwin.

Folio 309: enclosed with folios 305-306. List of Maidstone Sea Fencibles dated 11 November 1803 by Lieutenant Carter.

Folios 310-313: enclosed with folios 305-306. List of Chatham Sea Fencibles to man the launches under Commissioner Coffins orders dated 13 November 1803 by Thomas Lavie.

Folio 314: enclosed with folios 305-306. List of Queenborough Sea Fencibles dated 11 November 1803 by Captain John Mortimer.

Folio 315: enclosed with folios 305-306. List of Queenborough Sea Fencibles under Commissioner Coffins directions dated 11 November 1803 by Captain John Mortimer.

Folios 316-3178: enclosed with folios 305-306. List of Maidstone Sea Fencibles to man the ships stationed for the protection of the dockyard by Lieutenant Carter. Advises the men to be stationed on HMS Glory, HMS Expedition, HMS Hebe, HMS Astrea, HMS Porcupine, HMS Holstein and HMS Tamar
