Folios 112-113: Richard Lucas, HMS Sphinx, Spithead. He responds to a letter from the Admiralty regarding an affidavit from Ambrose Castle and a writ of habeus corpus regarding John Davison. He says that he has not received the writ, though he is aware that a boat tried unsuccessfully to come alongside in heavy weather. He says that John Davison and the other men are Volunteers and have received the bounty. They require their clothes and belongings to be recovered from the Occan.
