Folios 96-97: Thomas Louis, HMS Cumberland, the Downs. He reports his arrival on the orders of Earl Howe. John MacBride, Rear Admiral of the Blue, has ordered him to report that he has on board 3 Lieutenants, 6 Petty Officers and 250 men for the Service. Admiral MacBride would like John Cook transferred to him from HMS Ferrett.
Folios 98-99: enclosed with folios 96-97. Letter dated 7 January [1793?] by John MacBride, Rear Admiral of the Blue. He reports that Thomas Louis has 250 men on board for the Navy.
