Folios 282-283: James William King, HMS Jason, Portsmouth. States that Samuel Ellenthorpe, having been superceded by the former Gunner of the Jason in the West Indies, requests that the enclosed certificates (not with letter) are put before their Lordships. His conduct since under his command had been exemplary and he had been recommended by the former Captain as a most excellent officer.
