Folios 277-278: Richard Hawkins, HMS Minerva, Sheerness Harbour. He restates the case of John Frearsay who was impressed on board HMS Minerva on 18 September 1808 at Plymouth, and has since been claimed as an apprentice although there was no other person at that time, as being an apprentice neither had he had any idea that such a pretence would have been bought forward until there was a Habeas Corpus Writ sent to take him out on 3 July 1809. As he was about to sail for the Americas he left the case in the hands of his agent who has spent £59-14s-11d on the case, account enclosed.
Folio 279: enclosure with folios 277-278. E Lyne, Agent. Plymouth. Statement in the Habeas Corpus case. Messrs Lyne, Hashorn & Roberts, Messrs Jackson & Knaggs.
