Folios 580-581: Philip Hue, HMS Actaeon, Liverpool. Responding to Admiralty query of 29 October, in regards to Johann Ernst Hopper. Hue has examined the man and finds him to be a subject of Prussia, as claimed, not married or settled in England, or in receipt of the King's bounty, so he has discharged him as per their Lordships' directions.
Folios 582-583: enclosure with folios 580-581. Letter dated 27 October 1800 by R. Kirkpatrick, Liverpool, sending the certificate from the Prussian consul for Hopper and hoping he may be discharged.
Folios 584-585: enclosure with folios 582-583. Statement dated 27 October 1800 with wax stamp, from J. M. Malonek, Prussian Consul for Liverpool, saying that Hopper is a native of Prussia and asking that he may be liberated immediately to return to the ship Vigilant, of which he is the Mate, under Captain J. G. Hoffmann of Amsterdam.
