Folios 161-162: David Hodgkis. A note by a Mr Sayer dated 13 July 1810. He states he cannot find the letter by Captain Hotchkis of the 19 March 1799 but encloses his memorial of that date together with a letter dated 18 June 1799 which alludes to his memorial.
Folio 163: Enclosure with folios 161-162. A letter by David Hodgkis dated 18 June 1799 addressed to their Lordships. He enquiries as to why he has had no response to his previous entreaties and no recognition of his previous service on HMS Terror. He states he and his family are in dire straits, with himself in jaol. He seeks outstanding pay for his service on HMS Terror and any offer of employment.
