Folios 120-121: John Baker Hay, HMS Sensible, Portsmouth. State that Lieutenant [Thomas] Jones who is under arrest in HMS Sensible having represented that his health will be injured by remaining on board and finding from the Surgeon that he has a scrophulous [scrofulous] disorder which may be rendered worse. In a ship ready to be paid off, where there is no fire for the comfort of the Officers. He begs for him to consider him a Prisoner at Large until the pending Court Martial. He reports that he has taken up a Commission appointing him to HMS Queen Charlotte.
