Description

Folios 311-312: John Gourly, Regulating Captain, Aberdeen. Encloses a list of 8 men imprest at Aberdeen on the night and early morning of 9 and 10 August 1813 from houses of ill-fame. States 7 of the men were protected as Boat Steerers from ships in Aberdeen Harbour and the owners have applied for their release. Requests guidance on how to proceed.

Folio 313: enclosure with folios 311-312: List of 8 men impressed at Aberdeen, dated 9 August 1813. Contains details of time arrested, name, age, quality and remarks, including name of their ship. Men named: Richard Miller, aged 22; William MacCloud, aged 25; John Robertson, aged 26; John Nicklson, aged 21; T? McKnoaughty [McNaughty?], aged 31; John Douglas, aged 33; Alexander Greige, aged 22; Andrew McDonald, aged 22.
