Description

Folios 304-305: Andrew Pellatt Green, HMS Shamrock, River Weser. Encloses a letter from Florence Macarty, Purser, HMS Shamrock, and also a copy of letter from Macarty to himself [Green]. Believes it is appropriate now to forward the correspondence as it confirms his reasons to ask for Florence Macarty to be dismissed by Court Martial and also as he is fearful that they may contain false accusations against the character of other officers.

Folio 306: enclosure with folios 304-305: copy of letter, dated 2 August 1813, from Florence Macarty, HMS Shamrock, River Weser, to Andrew Green, Captain. Encloses a letter, dated 2 August 1813, from himself to Andre Green to be forwarded in the event Green applies to the Admiralty to have him superseded.

Folios 307-308: enclosure with folio 306: Letter, dated 2 August 1813, from Florence Macarty, Purser, HMS Shamrock, River Weser, to the Admiralty. States that he has been informed by Andrew Green, captain, that he has applied to have him superseded and that whatever charges Captain Green brings against him, he will defend.
