Folios 86-87: Henry Richard Glynn, Regulating Captain, Poole Rendezvous. Encloses a letter and affidavit [not present] from Lieutenant Hiatt stating the abusive conduct of the Master of the Garland merchant ship of Poole on board that ship on Saturday 9 [April 1808] in the execution of his duty. He saw the Mater on Monday in the presence of his merchant, George Garland, when he insolently declared his intention to do the same at any time and to any person. The merchant said he would not interfere but if the master was right he would support him to the utmost. He hopes their Lordships will direct his prosecution.
