Folios 82-83: Valentine Collard, HMS Cyane, Portsmouth Harbour. Encloses a letter from Mr Rees, Surgeon of HMS Cyane who having gone north on leave, is unable to return due to ill health.
Folio 84: enclosure with folios 82-83. Letter dated 16 November 1809 from Mr L Rees to Captain Valentine Collard, HMS Cyane. Reports that his is unwell and will be unable to travel for some time and asks that a replacement be found.
Folio 85: enclosure with folios 82-83. Letter dated 24 November 1809 from R George, Ambrose Searle and John Barnes to Captain Valentine Collard, HMS Cyane. Mr Rees has written to them about his case together with Certificates but feel this is a matter for the Admiralty.
