Folios 286-287: Thomas Wittewronge Whitewell Clayton, HMS Prince William, the Nore. Following an application from the Mayor of Hull. he sailed on 3 November 1797 with a convoy for this place. Is sending a list of the ships. As the list shows most of the ships parted company and proceeded without permission after he had seen them into Yarmouth Roads.
