Folios 284-285: Thomas Wittewronge Whitewell Clayton, HMS Prince William, the Humber. He sailed, with the Baltic fleet on 23 September 1797. On the 5 October 1797 the wind was blowing hard and he judged it necessary to put into the Harbour at [Swinor?] Norway. He sailed again on 9 October having been joined by th Apollo for Weyburg, Freedom for Flensburg and the Iporta for Petersburg. All vessels arrived safely at Elsinore. HMS Sirius arrived at the same time and he received orders from Captain King to accompany him as far as the Humber. He parted with him on 26 October 1797 at that place.
