Description

Folio 257-258: Henry Dilkes Byng, 13 Great George Street, Westminster. On orders from Admiral Sir John Borlase Warren he received, on board HMS Goree at Halifax, Dutch Admiral De Buysker, late Governor of Batavia and his suite on 19 October 1810 for a passage to England. Asks to be recompensed for the expense of accommodation and provisioning which was upwards of £250.

Folio 258: enclosed with folio 257-258. Orders dated 3 October 1810 from Sir John Borlase Warren, Admiral of the Blue and Commander in Chief of ships and vessels in the River Saint Lawrence, along the coast of Nova Scotia, the islands of Saint John and Cape Breton, the Bay of Fundy and Bermuda or Somers Islands. Directed to receive Dutch Admiral De Buysker, late Governor of Batavia and suite and French Officers on board HMS Goree, for a passage to England.
