Description

Folio 34: Richard Henry Alexander Bennet, HMS Tribune. Is sending a copy of his letter to Rear Admiral Saumarez. Description of the capture of a gun brig off Dielette, by HMS Carteret and the launch under Mr Simpson and Mr Ross who performed well and are due promotion.

Folio 35: enclosed in folio 34. Letter dated 12 March 1804 by John Ross, HMS Carteret, armed cutter,at sea. Landed and burned the gun brig but in the retreat the jolly boat was overturned and Mr Parker and nine Seamen were captured.
