Folio 69: James Bradby, HMS Ariadne. Reports his arrival with despatches from Mr. Merry, HM Charge d'affairs at Copenhagen directed to Lord Granville, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and has delivered them in person. He explains that he could not land Sir Home Popham and suite at Cuxhaven due to ice and landed him at Blind Sound on the South Coast of Norway, the Cattegat being frozen over from Gottenburg. Sir Home Popham andf suite embarked on the Swift Cutter for Arundal, but were obliged to leave it for Frederickstad in Sweden, Norway being impassable with snow. He asks that the ship be paid, the men in want of clothing.
