Folio 123: Peter Baskerville, Cowes. James Burn, Master of the Royal Edward of London, refuses to pay the wages owed to James McDermot and John James on entering the rendevous at Ryde. Asks how to proceed. Is sending a letter from Lieutenant Abraham Burdon for information.
Folio 124: Enclosure in folio 123: Lieutenant Abraham Burdon, Ryde Rendevous, February 10th 1799. James McDermot and John James entered the rendevous on 24th January 1799 from the Royal Edward of London, James Burn, Master, homeward bound from the West Indies. Both men had had notes signed for the money they were owed and three month's wages, which the Master refused to pay.
