Incorporated under act of 10th August 1857. At Extraordinary Meeting of 18th June 1860 it was agreed to sell undertaking to London, Brighton & South Coast Railway Company. Undertaking was purchased by London, Brighton & South Coast Railway Company as from 31st May 1860. London, Brighton & South Coast Railway Company was one of constituent companies of Southern Railway Company from 1st January 1923 under the Railways (Southern Group) Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 22 December 1922.
