These papers relate to the activities of the Royal Commission on Wheat Supplies, to which Sir Alan Garrett Anderson was appointed Vice-Chairman on its formation in October, 1916, and to the work of various committees of the Ministry of Food, which later took over its functions.
The papers also record his work as Admiralty Controller, 1917-18, and his service on various trade missions and committees during the years 1923-36.
