The Regulatory Policy Committee (RPC) was established in October 2009 by the Government to provide independent scrutiny of proposed regulatory measures put forward by the UK Government. The Committee consists of a mix of independent experts with a wide range of experience and current knowledge of business, employee and consumer issues, and is supported by a secretariat of civil servants.
