The South West Science and Industry Council was established in 2005 as an independent advisory body to the South West of England Regional Development Agency. It exists to raise the economic success of industry and business in the South West region through a more effective use of science, technology and creativity. The Council is made up of science, business and academic leaders who are committed to using their personal knowledge and experience to inform investment and development in the South West.
