Description

2 collective petitions (Joseph Moor and Elizabeth Moor parents and 11 people) on behalf of Hackett Moor [Hackett Moore] convicted at Summer Assizes in 1822 for buying stolen property belonging to Mr Williams. Grounds for clemency: prosecutor Mr Williams has died but widow is happy for sentence to be reduced, honest industrious parents would like to see son, prisoner has behaved well in New South Wales. Initial sentence; 14 years' transportation. Annotated: nil. NP 10
