1 item extracted from MT 6/1032/5. Gloucestershire. 'Midland Railway Westerleigh Marshalling Sidings': plan of part of the railway line between Mangotsfield and Yate, showing the proposed layout of tracks, signals, points, etc, and railway buildings. Reference tables. Scale: 1 inch to 40 feet. Signed by J Allen Warmald, 24 April 1900. Stamped (on the dorse) by the Midland Railway, 6 April 1900, and (on the face) at the Board of Trade, 1 May 1900. Inset: diagram of gradients. The plan is torn completely in two, and both the left- and right-hand halves are badly perished along some of the fold lines. Originally accompanying a letter (numbered R 5879) from the Midland Railway to the Railway Department, Board of Trade, 4 April 1900, requesting approval for the works at Westerleigh Junction. A pencilled note in the file states that the plan was damaged on receipt at the Board of Trade.
