Georgiy KISLOV, aliases SIRENEV, VOROBIEV, AFANASIEV: Russian. Described by the Russian defector ORLOV as head of Russian intelligence presence in France in the late 1930s, KISLOV had formerly worked in Moscow (as VOROBIEV) and in Persia and China (as AFANASIEV) and later (as SIRENEV) in Spain. His wife Nathalie, also a Soviet intelligence officer, was the niece of Leonid KRASSIN, Peoples Commissar for Foreign Trade and former Soviet Ambassador in London, and according to one report a one-time secretary to Lenin
